This morning, for the first time in a loooooooooooooooong time, I used a real weight bench to work out. And it was great!
Since I had my son 3 years ago, I have not set foot in a gym to exercise. I simply have not had the time. So I've resorted to using hand weights and doing more cardio, as well as things like yoga. But when you have a body shape like mine (classic pear), you almost have to lift weights to keep lean.
I got the weight bench for Christmas two years ago, and we were going to set it up in the basement with my boxing bag and other stuff. But then we needed to move things from rooms upstairs to the basement in order to do construction, and there was no space for my weights. Well, last week, my husband cleared out some space and set up my weights (thanks honey!). It was a nice surprise. And I can't tell you how nice it was to go down there this morning and bang those things around for awhile. I'm sure I won't be able to move by tomorrow, but it was worth it!
