It's all about ME, ME, ME!

I have, on more than one occassion, commented about what I like to call the "ME" generation. You know what I mean. The kids and young adults who think the world revolves around them. I am all for self-confidence. But this is something entirely different. The up and coming generation is plugged in, tuned out and totally focused on themselves. I'm not saying every young person is like this. In fact, I have met quite a few who are caring, generous individuals. But those are the kids who were raised by parents who taught them the value of self worth, while at the same time, teaching them about the worth of others. I saw this story this morning in Newsweek that pretty much sums up everything I've been thinking for the last couple of years. If you want to read it, I've included a link. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
